E-ONE Supplies U.S. Navy with Ecologic Testing Systems

OCALA, FL—E-ONE, a subsidiary of REV Group and a manufacturer of fire apparatus, has initiated work with the U.S. Navy to provide patented ECOLOGIC® mobile cart foam test systems for use with its fleet of ARFF vehicles.

Contracting with Darley Defense through the Tailored Logistics Support Program, this technology will allow the U.S. Navy to test its ARFF fleet’s foam systems in a more environmentally friendly and cost-effective manner. The ECOLOGIC system will be delivered throughout the United States and locations such as Guam, Japan and others.

The E-ONE ECOLOGIC testing system is an NFPA 412 compliant and FAA-approved input-based testing method. It offers fire departments the means to test the accuracy of their ARFF vehicle foam systems without the expense or environmental impact of using foam to perform an output-based test.

Advantages of the ECOLOGIC system include:

  • Compact and easy to transport
  • Environmentally responsible
  • Accurate and reliable testing method
  • Economical test method
  • Adaptable to most ARFF vehicles
  • FAA and NFPA 412 approved method

“We have begun the installation and training at several U.S. Navy bases and are extremely pleased to have been chosen for this project,” said Jay Johnson Vice President and General Manager for E-ONE. “The benefits of utilizing the ECOLOGIC testing system have proven valuable to customers and we look forward to its continued acceptance as the method of choice for airports and military installations around the world.”
