ARFF Video: Plane Veers Off Runway in China

A Chinese passenger jet veered off the runway during takeoff and caught fire at 8:09 a.m. Thursday, necessitating an ARFF rescue, AP reports.

The incident sent smoke into the air and injured 36 people, the report says. The Tibet Airlines flight had 122 people on board—113 passengers and nine flight crew.
